Prospekt's March is the sixth EP by British rock band Coldplay, initially released on 21 November 2008 in Europe and Japan, and worldwide the following week. It features several tracks left over from the studio sessions for Coldplay's fourth studio album, Viva la Vida or Death and All His Friends. This is their first EP since Remixes 2003. Prospekts March was the bands first EP in five years and featured several leftover songs from the Viva la Vida sessions plus a few reworkedextended pieces from the LP itself. In an interview for Coldplays official website Chris Martin said that all the songs on the EP came very close to being on Viva la Vida, and that they were all part of the same family. In the same interview the frontman stated that the idea was always to put these songs out by the end of 2008. Prospekts March Q&A. Prospekt's March, the EP released shortly after Viva La Vida, is an excellent addition to the list of music off of Coldplay's fourth album. Life In Technicolor II, Postcards From Far Away, Glass of Water, Rainy Day, Prospekt's March, and Now My Feet Won't Touch The Ground are the six new songs on this CD. I think my view of this EP would be different if I paid full price for it. At 99 cents, surely anyone who has the slightest afinity for Coldplay can find something to like here. The EP sounds very much like the Viva album, with the same instrumental, studio, and mixing techniques applied. Prospekt's March. Pop Rock. Prospekt's MarchPoppyfields. Prospekt's MarchPoppyfields could pass for a latter-day Radiohead ballad except Martin replaces Thom Yorke's doom with hopeful pleads of I don't wanna die. With its micro-funk verse and symphony chorus, Rainy Day feels stiched together, but it's uniquely humble. I love it when you come over to my house, sings Martin, taking a break from explaining death and all his friends for a moment

Worst record I've ever had. Returned six (SIX!!!) copies to three different shops before I got one that's "good enough". Still never listen to it.
Terrible pressing. Three copies from different places and the all skip like crazy. Not just a couple but for lengths of time during tracks. Only record I've ever put on my turntable to do this. At least it's just the EP, and it's mediocre at best. The full length album is much better, a masterpiece really. Wish I could get a pressing of this that doesn't skip though...
